For those of you in Georgia, specifically my Sunday school class, or anyone in the vicinity of Marietta, Georgia this is for you.
If you are not in the area, cold weather is either coming or upon you. There is a local shelter in your area that has this same need. I encourage you to go through your closet and find any old cold weather gear you have that you no longer use. Donate it.
If you don’t have anything you can donate from your own closet, head over to your local Goodwill, America’s Thrift, AmVets, or other thrift store. You absolutely can find good coats there at reasonable prices. Buy one or three and donate them.
This is both a challenge and a calling. Do this, please. We want a faith that is a doing or using faith, not a sitting idly by faith.
37“Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?
38‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?
39‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
40“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’
Matthew 25:37–40 (NASB95)
