There are some things being removed from my life right now by God. I know it is Him because as I move away from the things, He is rewarding my faithful obedience. It is very comforting to know these things.
The things I’m moving away from are things most of you have never seen from me. Some of you who know me personally know I enjoy roleplaying games and have written for them professionally in the past. It is a separate world I’ve tried to reconcile for a very long time, but I think that time is over.
Now, the question is what takes its place?
This is a very melancholy revelation for me. I love RPGs, playing them, writing them, but mostly running them. I was even making headway into professional writing there, but nothing amazing in terms of a career. Still, it is a sad thing to let that slip away.
The point of the missive this evening isn’t to lament what is going away, though there is some of that. The point is that I think some things are being planted that will bear fruit here. I’m hopeful those things grow and blossom into a grander plant. We’ll see. Anyway, I greatly appreciate you all just being here and reading what I write. Thank you.
God bless and Godspeed.
11‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
12‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
14‘I will be found by you,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’
Jeremiah 29:11–14 (NASB95)
27“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
28and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
29“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.
30“I and the Father are one.”
John 10:27–30 (NASB95)
5Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.
6In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight
Proverbs 3:5–6 (NASB95)
