My morning devotion was about all this topic. No coincidences, right?
“It is easy to fall into one of two opposite extremes. Either we condemn people or we condone sin. Love does not condemn nor does it condone sin, because sin leads to people getting hurt. If we love, like Jesus, we will neither condone sin nor condemn people, but lovingly challenge people (starting with ourselves) to leave sin behind.”
No coincidences. It's almost like someone is coordinating these things. This is where the rubber meets the road so to speak. As fallen humans who have flaws, some err on the side of condemnation while others err on the side of condoning. It is very tough to walk the middle, some would say impossible. As long as we are aware of both ends and trying to get better at it today than we were at it yesterday, I'm not sure how much closer we can get "right", right now.
